What you will need for the ID check

To complete your identity check, you’ll need:

  • device with a camera (smartphone, tablet, or webcam-enabled computer)
  • One of the following valid documents: Passport, Driving licence, CitizenCard, Post Office PASS card, Biometric residence permit or Young Scot Card

  • Death Certificate - This confirms the date and place of death.
  • Will or Grant of Representation - If available, these help us understand who is legally responsible for managing the estate.
